Ikazuchi stable, Sumo training stable in Saitama City, Japan.

Ikazuchi stable is a sumo training facility in Saitama City, Japan, where wrestlers live and train under shared supervision. The building features practice rings, sleeping quarters, and a dining area where athletes complete their daily routines.

The name Ikazuchi means thunder and originates from the Edo period, when it referred to an administrative position in sumo. This designation was later adopted as the training facility's name to establish a connection to the sport's history.

Younger wrestlers prepare meals and clean the premises while learning combat techniques through observation and repetition from their experienced colleagues. All members of the facility follow a fixed daily routine that starts before sunrise and reflects a hierarchical order common in Japanese sumo for centuries.

The building is located at Hachioji 3-32-12 in Saitama Prefecture and can be visited with prior arrangement. Training sessions take place early in the morning, and visitors should remain quiet to avoid disturbing the athletes.

Kakizoe, a former wrestler from the facility, achieved 388 victories during his career across different competitions. This record demonstrates the quality of training provided within the practice rooms.
