Living National Treasures Museum

The Living National Treasures Museum displays works by ceramic artists, textile makers, and artisans who excel in traditional Japanese crafts through detailed exhibitions.

The museum establishment in January 2007 marked a new phase in preserving Japanese craftsmanship by presenting works from recognized masters of traditional arts.

Each gallery within the museum presents collections of pottery, textiles, and lacquerware created through techniques passed down through generations of Japanese artisans.

Visitors can reach the museum via a direct bus from Yugawara Station to Yamazaki Bus Stop, with entry fees of 900 yen for adults and 200 yen for students.

Museum guests receive matcha tea served in ceramic cups handcrafted by the designated master artisans whose works are displayed in the galleries.
