Honinbo Shusaku Game of Go Memorial, Biographical museum in Onomichi, Japan.
The Honinbo Shusaku Game of Go Memorial displays artifacts, documents, and game equipment related to the traditional board game Go and its master player.
The memorial, which opened in 2008, preserves the Go board where Shusaku learned to play and the certificate that marked his professional achievements.
The memorial includes a reproduction of the Yugen no Ma room from the Nihon Ki-in era, representing the traditional Japanese setting for Go matches.
Located at 121-1 Innoshimatonouracho, the museum operates from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and charges 310 yen for adult admission, with free entry for students.
The facility houses the Go board and stones used by Go Seigen during his retirement game at age 70, marking a significant moment in Go history.
