Tokyo Midtown Yaesu, Skyscraper complex in Yaesu district, Tokyo, Japan
Tokyo Midtown Yaesu is a mixed-use skyscraper in the Yaesu district that reaches 240 meters (787 feet) in height and spans 45 floors housing office space, retail outlets, a bus terminal, and the Bulgari Hotel. The tower combines modern infrastructure with underground access points that connect it directly to major transport hubs across the capital.
The building was completed in 2022 as the first step of a multi-stage redevelopment of the Yaesu district, designed by Nihon Sekkei and built by Takenaka Corporation. This approach renewed an area near Tokyo Station that had remained unchanged for decades.
The tower houses a zone called "Yaesu Innovation Lab" where companies test experimental projects and develop new business models. This area allows visitors to see how Japanese innovation culture takes shape directly in the workplace.
The complex offers direct underground connections to Tokyo Station, allowing visitors to reach it dry even in the rain. Parking is available in the basement levels, and most areas operate from morning until late evening.
The office areas use a fully touchless system with facial recognition and automatic doors that allow access without contact. Robots deliver food and drinks between floors, easing daily logistics in the work zones.
