Marunouchi Building

Marunouchi Building is a modern office tower with 37 floors located in Tokyo's financial district. The structure combines office space, retail shops, and restaurants across its levels, serving workers and visitors daily.

The building was completed in 2002 by Mitsubishi Jisho Design and replaced an earlier structure from 1923 that served as Mitsubishi's headquarters. Its completion marked a modernization of the financial district.

The building houses numerous Japanese and international restaurants across its upper floors, presenting Tokyo's culinary diversity to visitors and workers.

The building connects directly to Tokyo Station through underground passages, making access convenient. The retail spaces have varying hours depending on the day, so checking in advance is helpful.

The building won multiple architecture awards for successfully merging private and public spaces in the city center. These recognitions reflect how thoughtfully it was designed to serve its surroundings and users.
