The Vanyushin Merchants House is a three-story brick building with a metal roof and decorative ridges on Nekrasova Street. The structure displays solid classical merchant house features with a massive facade and regularly spaced windows that were typical of wealthy families in the late 1800s.

The house was built between 1870 and 1880 as a meeting place for wealthy merchants and initially functioned as a Commercial Club. During the Soviet period, the building changed purposes several times before eventually becoming a school.

The building reflects how merchant families shaped Uralsk's architecture, taking design cues from Moscow Kremlin palace styles of the 17th century.

The building serves today as School-Lyceum Number 38, named after Aliya Moldagulova, and functions as an active educational facility. Visitors should know that access may be limited during school hours, so it is best to check ahead before visiting.

The Vanyushin family shaped the city not only through commerce but also by opening a Quranic school and planting trees along many of Uralsk's streets. These efforts show that wealthy merchants of that time also invested in community welfare.
