The institution presents the evolution of Shizuoka through exhibitions about the Shizuoka Domain, which produced influential figures during the Meiji Restoration period.
Located 15 minutes from JR Shizuoka Station, the museum operates Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 to 18:00, with entry fees of 600 yen for adults.
The museum building, designed by architectural firm SANAA, integrates learning spaces and galleries that chronicle Shizuoka's tea export history through Shimizu Port.
