Bandar Malaysia

Bandar Malaysia is a large urban development in Kuala Lumpur that mixes residential neighborhoods, office buildings, shops, and public spaces on land that once belonged to a military air base. The project creates a new district where people can live, work, and travel through integrated infrastructure and transportation links.

The project was announced in 2011 on land that previously served as a Malaysian Air Force base. This transformation changed an inactive military site into a modern urban district for the growing city.

The development integrates Malaysian architectural elements and community spaces, representing the evolution of urban planning in Southeast Asian metropolises.

The area connects to trains, metro stations, and highways that link to the airport and surrounding districts. Visitors can walk through the different neighborhoods or use the local transportation network to move between residential areas, shopping zones, and transit hubs.

The site was once an active military air force base that was completely converted into a residential neighborhood, showing a major shift in the city's development. This reuse of military land became one of Malaysia's largest urban transformations from defense to civilian use.
