Kasprowy Wierch Cableway, Cable car system in Zakopane, Poland.
The Kasprowy Wierch Cableway connects Kuźnice to the mountain peak through two aerial tramways spanning over 4,200 meters of rugged terrain.
Construction of this transportation system began in 1935 with one thousand workers and was completed in just seven months, opening in March 1936.
The cableway operates as a central point for winter sports in Poland, connecting visitors to multiple ski runs and mountain trails throughout the seasons.
The journey takes ten minutes to reach the upper station at 1,959 meters, with cables carrying 60 passengers per cabin from the base station.
At the upper terminal, Poland's highest meteorological observatory conducts research while offering views across both the High and West Tatra mountains.
