Krsmanović's House at Terazije
Krsmanović's House at Terazije, Protected cultural monument in Savski Venac, Serbia.
The neo-baroque mansion features a curved double flight of stairs leading down from a semi-circular terrace at 34 Terazije Street.
Built in 1885 for merchant Marko Marković, the residence later became the home of Alexander Karađorđević, Prince Regent of Yugoslavia in 1918.
The structure gained recognition as a Monument of Culture of Great Importance in 1981 through the Institute for Protection of Cultural Monuments.
Multiple companies now operate within the building, which maintains its function as an administrative center in the heart of Belgrade.
The house witnessed the signing of the founding document for the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes on December 1, 1918.
