11th Kamennoostrovsky Bridge

The five-span metal bridge stretches between Aptekarskiy Island and Kamenniy Island, supported by reinforced concrete piers covered in granite blocks.

The original structure at this location was constructed in 1760 as a pontoon bridge before being replaced by a seven-span wooden bridge in the 19th century.

The bridge features decorative obelisks and street lamps that incorporate design elements representing traditional Saint Petersburg architecture from past centuries.

The bridge operates with fixed spans throughout the year, allowing continuous vehicle and pedestrian traffic between the northern districts of Saint Petersburg.

The central section contains an inactive draw span mechanism, which remains as a testament to the engineering solutions used for river navigation.
