Church of the Transfiguration

The Church of the Transfiguration is an Orthodox church featuring Byzantine Revival design with a central dome and cross-shaped layout. Its interior holds restored religious icons and maintains two chapels dedicated to Saint Barbara and Saint George the Victorious.

A wooden structure was destroyed by fire in 1876, prompting the community to build a simple prayer house in 1877. The current stone building was completed in 1884 and remains standing today.

This place serves as a spiritual center where the community gathers regularly to worship and celebrate religious occasions together. The restored decorations inside reflect how locals have preserved their Orthodox faith across generations.
