Church of the Intercession

The Church of the Intercession is a stone building in classical style with a bell tower and multiple altar areas. The structure features carefully designed architectural details and balanced proportions throughout.

This building was constructed in 1824 to replace an older wooden church from 1793. It remained in operation until its closure in 1938.

The name refers to the Intercession of the Mother of God, a key theme in Orthodox devotion. The structure served as the spiritual center for the local parish and shaped the religious life of the community for many decades.

This structure is located in the Azovsky District and can be reached from the main roads of Elizavetinskaya. The site is easy to approach, and the surroundings provide good landmarks for visitors to navigate.

The domes were painted in a greenish tone and topped with gilded spheres and crosses. This distinctive coloring and ornamentation made the building stand out as a visual landmark in the landscape.
