The Grand Hall of Saint Petersburg Philharmonia contains 1500 seats within a classical architectural structure featuring white marble columns and ornate chandeliers.
Built in 1839 and designed by architect P. Jacot with facade by C. Rossi, this hall presented the world premiere of Beethoven's Missa Solemnis in 1824.
The hall serves as the main performance venue for two major orchestras: the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra and Saint Petersburg Academic Symphony Orchestra.
The box office operates daily from 11:00 AM to 8:30 PM, with ticket holders required to arrive before the third bell to access their seats in the stalls.
Orchestras traditionally conclude their performances with 'The Hymn to the Great City' by Reinhold Glière, commemorating the defense during the Siege of Leningrad.
