Krasnoarmeysky Bridge

Krasnoarmeysky Bridge is a pedestrian crossing over the Fontanka River in Saint Petersburg, built with three metal arches that span across the water. It connects the surrounding neighborhoods and features granite supports with cast-iron railings at its sides.

The bridge was first built in 1910 as a wooden structure and later reconstructed in 1963 with a metal design. This transformation reflected the city's modernization efforts during that period.

The bridge serves as a focal point for artists who capture its curved bottom chord design and traditional Russian architectural elements in their works.

The bridge is easy to cross thanks to staircases at both ends that lead to the surrounding streets. From this crossing, you can easily access the neighborhoods on either side of the Fontanka.

Glass orb lamps mounted on metal columns light up the walkway and create a warm glow across the bridge. These details give it a distinct character, especially once the sun goes down.
