Qanun Palace is a defensive structure built with mud, straw, and gypsum that features internal corridors and multiple chambers designed for different functions. The building contains various sections separated by thick walls, each serving specific household and community purposes.

The castle was built in 1737 as a defensive residence for the region's leadership and stands as a testament to 18th-century building practices. Its construction reflects the fortress architecture that characterized Hail during that era.

The castle displays traditional building craftsmanship from the Najd region through its interior patterns and spaces designed for wedding celebrations. Visitors can observe these features in the living areas where families gathered over generations.

The building materials and construction methods create natural temperature control, keeping spaces warm in winter and cool during summer heat. Visitors will notice that thick walls and interior design work together to maintain comfortable conditions year-round.
