Jubilee Bridge, Pedestrian bridge in Marina Bay, Singapore
The Jubilee Bridge is a footbridge over the Singapore River in Marina Bay, connecting Merlion Park to the waterfront promenade on the opposite bank. It has separate lanes for pedestrians and cyclists, along with seating areas and landscaped sections spread along its length.
The bridge opened in 2015 as part of Singapore's 50th anniversary celebrations, giving its name the Jubilee reference. It was built to close a gap in the pedestrian network along the Marina Bay waterfront that had long been missing.
The bridge is part of the Jubilee Walk, a route that links several notable spots around Marina Bay. Locals use it as a daily crossing, while visitors tend to stop along the way to look out over the water toward the city skyline.
The bridge is flat and step-free, making it easy to cross for most visitors regardless of mobility. It tends to be busier during weekends and evenings, so early mornings offer a quieter experience.
The bridge was designed so that its longest span crosses the water without any support columns in the river, keeping the view across the bay open. This was a deliberate choice to avoid interrupting the sightlines toward the surrounding landmarks on both banks.
