Musica, Bronze sculpture in Music Row, Nashville, US.
Musica is a bronze sculpture in Music Row featuring nine figures dancing in a circular formation that rises to 38 feet (11.5 m) at the center. The sculpture group occupies the Music Row Roundabout near Division Street and presents a dynamic composition from every viewing angle.
The sculpture was installed in 2003 as part of an urban renewal effort for Music Row and represents the largest sculpture grouping in the United States.
The nine figures represent different music genres central to Nashville's sound, and you can see this expressed through their movements and expressions as they dance together.
The sculpture is freely accessible from all sides within the roundabout, surrounded by restaurants and entertainment venues within easy walking distance. Bring a camera to capture it from different angles, and plan time to explore the surrounding neighborhood on foot.
The entire bronze composition weighs around 10 tons and rests on natural limestone boulders sourced from the Nashville region. These local stones ground the artwork in the geographical character of the place.
