Palace Theater, Art Deco movie theater in Crossville, United States
The Palace Theater features an exterior covered with Crab Orchard stone patterns and includes characteristic neon-illuminated marquee and bulls-eye wall sconces.
The building opened its doors in November 1938 with a screening of 'If I Were King' and operated as a first-run cinema until closing in 1978.
The restored theater now functions as a multi-purpose community auditorium, hosting concerts across genres including jazz, blues, country, bluegrass, and rock music.
The renovated auditorium contains over 300 high-back seats, professional sound equipment, LCD projection capabilities, and internet connectivity for various events.
During World War II, the Palace Theater served as a center for war bond sales and scrap metal collection drives to support the national effort.
