The Brooklyn Grange consists of three rooftop farms covering 5.6 acres, producing over 100,000 pounds of organic vegetables and herbs annually.
The Brooklyn Grange started its first farming operations in 2010 with a single rooftop in Long Island City, expanding to additional locations in subsequent years.
The rooftop farms serve as educational centers where New Yorkers learn about sustainable agriculture through workshops, tours, and hands-on farming experiences.
Visitors can join guided tours from May to October, purchase fresh produce at farm stands, or participate in seasonal events like morning yoga sessions.
The farms maintain over 40 beehives, producing local honey while supporting urban pollination and contributing to the city's ecological balance.
