Nickelodeon Slime Streak, Steel roller coaster at Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park in American Dream Meadowlands, East Rutherford, United States.
Nickelodeon Slime Streak is a steel roller coaster at Nickelodeon Universe, the indoor theme park inside the American Dream Meadowlands complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The track runs through a series of hills and curves with no loops or inversions of any kind.
The coaster opened in 2019 when the amusement park section of the American Dream Meadowlands complex launched for the first time. It was one of the first rides to start operating in that new indoor space.
The name references the green slime that Nickelodeon has used in its shows and award ceremonies for decades. Visitors who grew up watching those programs will recognize the colors and characters displayed along the ride.
The ride lasts about one minute and is generally a good fit for families since there are no upside-down moments. Lines tend to grow on weekends and holidays, so an early visit during the day usually means a shorter wait.
The track includes 10 airtime moments, which is an unusually high number for a family coaster with no loops. Part of the route wraps around another attraction, Jimmy Neutron's Atomic Smasher, giving riders an unexpected view of that section of the park during the ride.
