Sandy's Blasting Bronco is a steel roller coaster inside Nickelodeon Universe, the indoor theme park at American Dream Meadowlands in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The track runs through four inversions and is one of the larger rides in the park.
The coaster opened in October 2020 as part of Nickelodeon Universe, after delays caused by certification checks and technical adjustments. The American Dream complex itself had only recently opened its doors after many years of construction.
The ride takes its name from Sandy Cheeks, the Texas-born squirrel from the SpongeBob SquarePants cartoon series that generations of children grew up watching. Her cowboy theme is visible in the car design and throughout the station area.
Because the ride is inside a large covered complex, the weather outside has no effect on your visit. Height restrictions apply, and lines can grow long on weekends, so arriving earlier in the day is a good idea.
Just before the ride launches, the loading station rotates 180 degrees so riders end up facing the opposite direction. This spinning motion is part of the standard sequence and catches many first-time visitors off guard.
