DreamWorks Water Park is an indoor water park inside the American Dream shopping complex in East Rutherford. It spreads over several floors and contains slides, a large wave pool, and areas for children and adults.
The water park opened in 2020 as part of a large construction project that was planned and changed over several decades. The plan began in the 1990s and was later expanded into a larger shopping and entertainment complex.
The facility carries names and characters from well-known films throughout the building, so visitors encounter familiar figures as they move around. Each area has its own design based on the stories and worlds from those productions.
Staff monitor every attraction, and the park remains open throughout the year. Visitors can book additional rooms for groups or families if they want more privacy.
Some slides reach a height of around 142 feet (43 meters), making them the tallest inside an enclosed building in the country. The design uses the vertical space of the complex to include free-fall sections in the runs.
