The bronze statue depicts Tony DeMarco in a boxing stance, positioned at the corner of Hanover and Cross Streets.
Created by sculptor Harry Weber, this monument was dedicated in 2012 to honor the World Welterweight Champion from the 1950s.
The statue represents the Italian-American influence in Boston's North End district, where DeMarco grew up and trained as a boxer.
