Swami Nigamananda purchased this building in 1923 after initially residing in a rented house called Giri Kutir in the coastal city of Puri.
The Nilachala Saraswata Sangha organization established its foundation at this location on August 24, 1934, during Swami Nigamananda's birthday celebration.
The building receives 700 to 750 weekly visitors and offers direct access from Puri Railway Station through local transportation options.
