The Provincial Ceramic Museum occupies multiple floors of Villa Guariglia's Belvedere Tower, displaying collections of traditional pottery and decorative tiles.
The museum opened on May 9, 1981, following Ambassador Raffaele Guariglia's donation of the entire Villa Guariglia complex to Salerno Province in 1970.
The exhibition presents three chronological sections: religious artifacts from the 17th century, daily-use ceramics from the 1800s, and German-influenced pottery from 1920-1947.
Located 2 kilometers from Vietri sul Mare train station, the museum offers free admission and opens Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
The museum contains a specialized section dedicated to riggiole, traditional Campanian ceramic tiles used for wall and floor decorations.
