The garden emerged from post-unification Italy in 1874, following architect Casalbore's design that incorporated the 1790 Fountain of Aesculapius.
The garden holds annual events including the Minerva Exhibition in April, displaying rare plants and garden objects from regional producers.
The municipal park opens daily from 8:00 AM to midnight, providing access to children's play areas and shaded benches throughout the grounds.
The garden contains Aleppo pines, holm oaks, and Himalayan cedars planted during the post-war reconstruction period of the twentieth century.
