Skull Island: Reign of Kong, Multi-sensory dark ride at Universal's Islands of Adventure, US
Visitors board expedition vehicles through detailed environments featuring animatronic creatures, digital screens, and special effects depicting the world of King Kong.
The attraction opened in July 2016, marking the return of King Kong to Universal Orlando following the closure of Kongfrontation in 2002.
The attraction incorporates elements from Peter Jackson's King Kong films while paying tribute to the 1933 original movie through its queue design and jungle settings.
The minimum height requirement for riders is 36 inches, and the attraction offers both Express Pass access and a single-rider line option.
Five different virtual drivers operate the expedition vehicles, each presenting their own narrative perspective during the three-minute adventure through Skull Island.
