Columbus Division of Police Headquarters is an eight-story building in downtown Columbus with modern architecture that reflects design elements from City Hall. The structure includes a public lobby with an information desk, display cases, a cafeteria, and a 275-seat auditorium.
History
Constructed between 1990 and 1991, this building replaced the previous Central Police Station dating to 1930. The new facility represented a significant expansion to accommodate modern policing operations in the city.
Culture
The headquarters displays two large lion sculptures named Patience and Perseverance, moved here from the previous police station as enduring symbols of law enforcement values.
