Yuen Po Street Bird Garden is a marketplace with roughly 70 stalls selling birds, ornately designed cages, and bird-related items along a narrow shaded walkway. Mature trees line the path and create a garden setting within the busy urban area.
History
This bird garden was created in the 1990s to preserve a long-standing trading tradition that previously took place on another street in the area. The project was designed to protect this local practice within an organized public space.
