Jade Mountain Resort

Jade Mountain Resort is a luxury hotel in Soufrière with 29 rooms featuring open walls positioned at different elevations and connected by individual bridges overlooking the Caribbean Sea and the Pitons mountains. The entire structure uses natural topography and materials to integrate with the landscape.

Architect Nick Troubetzkoy designed and built this property to merge natural elements with modern accommodations using innovative construction methods. The result represents a new approach to hotel building on steep, mountainous terrain.

The property runs an organic farm called Emerald Estate that provides fresh ingredients to the restaurant led by James Beard Award-winning Chef Allen Susser. This connection between farming and cooking shows how the resort grounds its food service in local resources.

The resort sits roughly 300 steps above sea level and requires a 90-minute drive from Hewanorra International Airport over mountain roads in a four-wheel-drive vehicle. The journey through this terrain is part of the arrival experience and should be factored into travel planning.

Each room features a private infinity pool and deliberately has no televisions or radios, directing attention fully toward nature and ocean views. This absence of screens and devices is unusual for a resort of this caliber.
