Amalie Arena, Multi-purpose arena in Tampa, United States

Amalie Arena is a multi-purpose venue in Tampa, Florida, that can accommodate more than 19,000 visitors and includes several levels with suites and seating rows. The interior features modern scoreboards at both ends and a central video system suspended above the ice surface or stage.

The venue opened in the late 1990s as Ice Palace and was initially used for ice hockey and concerts. After several name changes, it received its current designation in the early 2010s.

The building takes its name from a Tampa-based insurance company and hosts home games for a professional ice hockey team. During the winter season, locals regularly attend evening events and use nearby restaurants and bars before and after games.

The building sits in the Channelside District downtown and can be reached by public transport and several parking garages. Events take place throughout the year, with more frequent sports events between autumn and spring.

The venue has one of the largest video screens in the southeastern United States hanging above the playing surface. During renovations in the early 2010s, seats and entrance areas were completely replaced as well.
