Ri Ra
Rí Rá is an Irish pub and restaurant in Charlotte offering food and drinks in a welcoming setting. The interior features authentic Irish elements including a Victorian bar from Dublin and a historic shop bar with old ledgers from the 1800s.
The pub opened in 1997 and was carefully brought over piece by piece from Ireland, with each component restored in Ireland before arrival. After a major fire in 2009 caused significant damage, it was meticulously restored while preserving original pieces including a Guinness mirror and vintage shelves.
The name comes from an Irish phrase meaning good fun and social gathering. The pub embodies this spirit as a meeting place where locals and visitors gather to celebrate, share drinks, and connect with each other.
The pub offers weekly drink deals during Happy Days at reduced prices and a weekend brunch with American and Irish dishes. The rooftop patio provides a quiet retreat with views of Charlotte's skyline and is available for private events.
The pub sits in one of Uptown Charlotte's oldest buildings and is believed to be haunted by a resident ghost. The Victorian bar was removed from a Dublin officers club in 1920 and sat stored in a garage for over 70 years before being restored and installed here.
