200 South Tryon, Office building in Charlotte, United States
The 200 South Tryon building stands 299 feet tall with 18 floors of glass and steel construction in downtown Charlotte's business district.
Completed in 1961, this structure marked a milestone as North Carolina's first glass high-rise, replacing the 1912 Commercial National Bank Building.
The architectural design follows Miesian principles of the 1960s, drawing inspiration from New York City's Lever House building construction methods.
The building houses Class B office spaces and connects directly to public transportation through Tryon Street for convenient access.
A renovation project in 2001 added an extra floor to the original structure while maintaining its position as Charlotte's nineteenth tallest building.
