Rock Bar

Rock Bar sits roughly 14 meters (45 feet) above the Indian Ocean with open-air design and glass walls providing clear views across Jimbaran Bay. The space blends natural materials like stone and timber with contemporary architecture.

A Japanese design studio created this establishment in 2009 using local building materials to integrate the structure into the coastal cliffs. It became part of the AYANA Resort and developed into a notable gathering place in the region.

The menu brings together Mediterranean cuisine with Indonesian influences, offering grilled eggplant with feta alongside Asian-inspired small plates.

Access is via an elevator descending the cliff face, with resort guests receiving priority entry during peak sunset times. It helps to arrive early to secure a good spot for watching the sunset.

The bar structure contains thousands of layers of recycled glass arranged by an artist to capture and reflect the changing colors of sunset. This detail often goes unnoticed by visitors focused mainly on the ocean views.
