RONCONCON
Ronconcon is a Latin American restaurant in Buenos Aires that serves dishes from various countries across the region. The food is designed as shared portions, allowing guests to taste many different flavors in a single meal.
The restaurant was founded about six months ago as a project by two Venezuelans and an Argentine who wanted to bring Latin American food to the city at fair prices. The owners brought their experience from bars and kitchens around the city to create a welcoming space.
The restaurant takes its name from the crispy rice that forms at the bottom of a cooking pot, reflecting an appreciation for traditional home cooking and family recipes. Many guests say the dishes remind them of shared meals and familiar flavors from their own tables.
The restaurant is open Wednesday through Sunday starting at 8 pm and accepts most credit cards for easy payment. It is recommended to book ahead, especially on busy evenings, as the space fills up quickly, and delivery and takeaway options are available.
The restaurant features a carefully curated small wine list with local wineries and unusual grape varieties selected to pair with the dishes. Bartender Emilio creates special cocktails like the Amarillo Sour with chili pisco and the Ronpapelón with aged rum and sugarcane that complete the Latin American flavor experience.
