Auberge Fontaine du Berger

Auberge Fontaine du Berger sits at the base of Puy de Pariou volcano and contains three separate dining spaces. These rooms include a veranda and a main hall with arched ceilings overlooking the surrounding landscape.

The building dates from the late 19th century and was originally used as a military camp. Its conversion into a restaurant came later, though the original structure was preserved.

The kitchen sources fresh fish directly from Brittany and uses seasonal ingredients from the Auvergne region in its rotating menus. Dining here connects visitors to local food producers and regional traditions.

The restaurant opens for lunch Wednesday through Sunday and for dinner Thursday through Saturday. Reservations are recommended since seating is limited and fills up quickly during peak times.

While dining, guests can watch the volcanic landscape of Puy de Pariou through the windows. This proximity to the volcano creates a memorable connection between the meal and the dramatic natural setting.
