Following its public opening in 1989, Eleko Beach developed from an untouched coastal area into a recreational destination for Lagos residents and visitors.
The small market at Eleko Beach displays local arts, crafts, and fresh seafood, reflecting the traditions of the Ibeju-lekki coastal community.
Visitors can rent beach huts, tables, and chairs, with an entrance fee of 500 Naira per person and additional parking fees may apply.
The beach maintains lower visitor numbers due to its 60-kilometer distance from Lagos Island, creating natural spaces for activities like volleyball and horse riding.
