Eleko Beach

Eleko Beach is a sandy coastline along the Lekki Peninsula with white sand and gentle waves that roll onto the shore. The water is clear and inviting for swimming and relaxation.

This beach opened to the public in 1989 and transformed from an untouched coastal area into a place where people from Lagos come to spend time. The change brought new activities and facilities to the shore.

A small market here sells local crafts and fresh seafood, showing how the coastal community has long made its living from the sea.

Visitors can rent beach huts, tables, and chairs for the day. The flat shoreline and open beach make it easy to find a comfortable spot to settle in.

Because it sits about 60 kilometers from the city center, this beach gets fewer visitors than closer alternatives, allowing space for activities like volleyball and horseback riding. This distance helps keep it quieter than beaches nearer to town.
