MagicLand, Theme park in Valmontone, Italy
MagicLand is a theme park in Valmontone, roughly 25 miles (40 kilometers) southeast of Rome, that spreads over a large site divided into themed zones. The park includes roller coasters, water attractions, and family rides alongside live entertainment stages.
The park opened its gates in May 2011 and was closely tied to the Winx Club television series during its early years. The licensing agreement ended in 2019, leading to a redesign of several areas and attractions.
Multiple seasonal performances take place at the former Alfea Castle, which is being transformed into Cosmo Academy, a new planetarium attraction.
The park sits near the A1 motorway and can be reached from Rome by shuttle buses departing from the main train station. Most attractions operate on weekends, with opening hours changing depending on the season.
One of the main attractions is Mystika, a free fall tower that launches visitors vertically upward before they drop down. Nearby stands Shock, a roller coaster with tight turns and inversions, both ranking among the tallest structures in the park.
