The white sand beach stretches along the Delaware Bay, offering uninterrupted views of the water and distant ships passing through the channel.
The beach holds the remains of the SS Atlantus, a World War I concrete ship that ran aground during a storm in 1926.
Local families gather at the beach each evening for the flag-lowering ceremony, maintaining a tradition that honors military veterans.
Visitors can park without fees in the dedicated lot and access the beach through wooden walkways from April through October.
The beach contains rare Cape May diamonds, which are pure quartz crystals that wash up on the shore from the Delaware River.
