CrocoParc, Zoological park in Drargua, Morocco
CrocoParc is a zoo and botanical park near Agadir featuring several large outdoor basins where hundreds of Nile crocodiles live. Diverse plant species surround the basins, filling the grounds with green areas and shaded spaces throughout.
The park opened in 2015, bringing Nile crocodiles back to a region where they had not been seen for over 100 years. Its creation was part of efforts to reestablish this species in Morocco.
The name refers to its main residents, the Nile crocodiles, which visitors can observe from safe viewpoints within the secured areas. The space combines wildlife with gardens, creating a place where education about nature and animal behavior happens naturally.
Visitors reach the park by bus from Agadir or shuttle services from the city, making access straightforward. The grounds have adequate walking paths between the basins and gardens for comfortable exploration on foot.
The entrance features a striking building shaped like a crocodile that contains information about reptiles and their conservation. This distinctive landmark makes the park immediately recognizable upon arrival.
