La Ferme Aux Rennes, Reindeer farm and zoo in Stosswihr, France
Located at 1096 meters in the Tanet massif, this six-hectare farm hosts a herd of 30 to 40 reindeer roaming freely along an 800-meter forest trail.
Established in September 2005, the farm started with three reindeer named Vixen, Blixen, and Comete, brought from Nordic regions to create a natural habitat in Alsace.
The farm includes a museum dedicated to Sami culture, displaying traditional artifacts and information about reindeer herding practices in Lapland.
Open Thursday through Monday from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM during spring and fall, with extended hours from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM in summer months.
Daily feeding sessions occur at 4:00 PM, allowing visitors to observe the reindeer receiving their meals in a natural mountain environment.
