The monumental pool spans two thousand square meters with natural thermal waters flowing from the Bullicame spring at 58 degrees Celsius through stone spouts.
The thermal springs have served various civilizations since ancient times, with Etruscans and Romans constructing baths and villas near these natural hot springs.
The name changed from Bagno delle Grotte to Bagni del Papa after Pope Nicholas V and his mother visited the thermal baths in the 15th century.
The facility operates year-round from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with special Saturday night hours until 1:00 AM, and closes every Tuesday for maintenance.
The water contains sulphur-sulphate-bicarbonate-alkaline-earth properties, supporting treatments for dermal, musculoskeletal, respiratory, and vascular conditions.
