Les Miroirs déformants

Les Miroirs déformants is a collection of distorted mirrors in the Jardin d'Acclimatation that transform visitor reflections into different shapes. Each mirror uses a different optical design to warp reflections and create varied visual effects throughout the installation.

The installation derives from an era when distorted mirrors were standard features of Parisian fairgrounds and amusement parks. They are maintained at Jardin d'Acclimatation as part of preserving this traditional form of entertainment.

These mirrors reflect French recreational traditions, connecting physical play with optical science in a format accessible to children and adults.

The mirrors are accessible during regular park hours and located along a designated pathway in the garden. Visitors should allow time to explore each mirror, especially when visiting with children.
