Chingis Khan Statue Complex, Stainless steel equestrian statue in Tsonjin Boldog, Mongolia

The Chingis Khan Statue Complex features a 40-meter-tall steel sculpture of a mounted rider on horseback oriented toward the east. The structure combines the statue with an integrated museum and grounds that include exhibition spaces and visitor facilities.

The monument was completed in 2008 to commemorate a significant historical milestone and highlight the site's connection to the region's early past. The location itself holds older significance rooted in local traditions.

The complex displays crafted objects and everyday items from the region's nomadic populations, showing different aspects of their herding life throughout history. These collections let visitors experience how people lived and worked on the steppes.

An elevator travels through the horse structure to reach a viewing platform at the top, where visitors can see across the surrounding landscape. It is advisable to wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for exposure to wind and weather on the platform.

The site is connected to a local tradition recounting the start of an important historical period. This link to early history makes the location more than just a modern monument, giving it depth beyond the structure itself.
