Peach Water Tower

Peach Water Tower is a 120-foot-tall water storage structure in Clanton shaped to resemble a giant peach. The tower features an orange and pink exterior with a green leaf and stem on top, serving as a distinctive roadside landmark visible from the highway.

Built in 1992 by Chicago Bridge and Iron Company, the tower was created to honor the agricultural heritage of Chilton County. It has served both as a functional water storage facility and as a symbol of the region's farming traditions.

The water tower represents the regional agricultural focus of Chilton County, where peach farming remains central to the local economy.

The tower is easily spotted from Interstate 65 at exit 205 while driving, offering clear views from the highway. The area near Clanton Fire Station provides a convenient stop for closer viewing and photography.

This tower holds roughly half the water volume of a similar peach-shaped tower in Gaffney, South Carolina. Despite sharing the same fruit design concept, the two structures differ significantly in their storage capacity.
