The manor was built in 1770 as a residence for wealthy planters and changed hands multiple times over the years. During the 1960s, it underwent comprehensive restoration that returned it to its original condition.

The manor displays European antiques, traditional Jamaican decorations, and mahogany furnishings throughout its restored rooms. These choices reflect how wealthy planters lived during colonial times.

The property can be explored with guided tours where staff wear traditional Jamaican clothing. The location sits elevated above the coast, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
