Cité des Enfants

The Cité des Enfants is a science museum for children aged 5 to 12 located within the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie complex in Paris's 19th district. Visitors move through five themed zones where hands-on experiments, games, and interactive displays invite exploration of science topics.

The space opened in 1992 as a dedicated section within the larger Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie complex. This creation marked the launch of a facility specifically designed for scientific learning and exploration by younger visitors.

Each exhibition area encourages children to develop critical thinking skills while exploring physics, biology, and technology through hands-on experimentation.

Visits are organized in timed sessions, so advance booking is necessary to secure entry. Bring comfortable shoes and plan to spend the full session time, as children move at their own pace between stations.

Children can control and program robots to see how machines respond to commands they create themselves. This direct engagement with working robots sets it apart from many other interactive science spaces.
