HMS Vindictive

HMS Vindictive is the bow section of a British warship displayed at the harbor entrance in Oostende. The restored wreck still shows naval structures and displays several memorial plaques with historical information.

The ship was deliberately sunk in 1918 to prevent German submarines from reaching the North Sea. This attack was part of a British strategy to contain the German Navy in Belgian ports.
