Ses Canyes

Ses Canyes is a sand beach on Formentera's northern coast with fine white sand and clear turquoise waters. The shoreline is bordered by rock formations and maintains a natural, undeveloped appearance with minimal signs of construction or commercial infrastructure.

This section of coast has retained its original character over time without undergoing major transformations. Unlike other areas in the Balearics, it escaped large-scale tourist development and commercialization.

This beach represents a lifestyle choice where naturism is openly practiced and respected by the community. The casual attitude toward undressed bathing reflects a long-standing freedom that defines the place's social fabric.

Getting there requires walking from nearby Es Pujols or Sa Roqueta beaches since there is no parking directly at the site. Wear sturdy footwear as the path crosses rocky terrain, and high tide can make certain sections of the approach more difficult to navigate.

Its limited foot access means the beach remains lightly visited throughout the year, even during peak season. This natural barrier prevents overcrowding and allows the shoreline to stay in a relatively undisturbed state.
